Hello, I am Fernando Torres. No, I’m not the famous Spanish professional football player that earns millions of dollars a year; I just save lives.
I have dedicated most of my professional career in Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Management. I have learned over the years how important we are for patients with all type of wounds and how it affects their lives. Billions of dollars are spent yearly on the treatment of both acute and chronic wounds and the burden is growing rapidly due to its high costs, increased elderly population, and a staggering increased incidence of diabetes and obesity worldwide.
I feel it is vital for health care providers to be up-to-date with new studies, tools, products, methods and techniques in wound healing in order to manage and prevent wounds or its complications. Therefore I have developed this website with one purpose in mind, teach and learn.
